::Nature Photo Friday::

Each Friday I will post a nature photo (or two) from our adventures of the week. The photo will represent a moment that I want to remember, to take in the feelings of that outdoor experience. If you are inspired to do the same, share a link to your nature photo in the comments. There is so much beauty in the natural world to share, I hope you will join me!

{We went for a hike at our local state park last weekend. It had been a while since we had been for a hike as a family, so this was a much needed outing. Given that, we were feeling extra adventurous and decided to take a new-to-us trail. And boy did it treat us well. We found an open orchard in the middle of the woods. The winter berries were at their peak – the bright red against the gray and brown backdrop was simply stunning. My daughter found a spotted salamander crawling out from under some leaves in a wetland portion of the trail. We saw bear scat. And, all three kids were so inspired by the sightings that they each took a turn with the camera to capture their own images, and I was happy to share (besides, I still had my phone for picture-taking). It was wonderful seeing them so engaged with the new sights. The hike was just the rejuvenation we needed as we head closer to this busy holiday time of year.}
